Bolingbrook, IL – October 16, 2025 – Gideon, a robotics and AI company transforming logistics with its autonomous forklift Trey, officially opened its new manufacturing facility in Bolingbrook with a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by business and community leaders from across technology, logistics, and manufacturing. Mary Alexander-Basta, Mayor of Bolingbrook, and Pjer Šimunović, Ambassador of the Republic of Croatia to the United States, joined the event as guests of honor.

The event marked an important milestone in Gideon’s continued growth, strengthening the company’s presence in the market and reinforcing its commitment to ensuring reliable, timely support and supply for its customers. It also underscored Gideon’s leadership in advancing Physical-AI — a new frontier where artificial intelligence moves from the digital into the physical world, redefining how goods move, how factories run, and how supply chains adapt.

“We’re bringing Physical-AI to tackle the most challenging automation problems for our customers and partners — transforming how manufacturing and logistics work every day,” said Josip Cesic, CEO and Co-founder of Gideon. “The opening of this new facility marks a major step in scaling Gideon’s impact.”

“Bolingbrook is proud to welcome Gideon to our growing business community,” said Mayor Mary Alexander-Basta“Their cutting-edge technology and international collaboration bring tremendous value to our local economy and demonstrate how innovation can create opportunities right here in our village.”

Following the ribbon cutting, the conversation turned to the future — how artificial intelligence is transforming the physical world and redefining what it means to build, move, and make things in America.

The event brought together speakers from NVIDIA, Prologis, General Motors, Metro Supply Chain, Deloitte, and Gideon, as well as the academy – represented by the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing in Zagreb. They shared perspectives on how AI is moving from the digital to the physical realm — reshaping supply chains, production lines, and the broader industrial landscape. The discussions explored how innovations in computing, robotics, and automation are helping manufacturers and logistics providers boost efficiency, improve safety, and strengthen competitiveness.

These forward-looking discussions reflected Gideon’s own mission — bringing advanced robotics and Physical-AI innovation to the heart of manufacturing and logistics, where technology and people work together to power the next generation of industry.
